Journal Entry 39: Christmas Holiday :)
I think that Christmas is a holiday where magical things happen. Christmas is more like a religious holiday since it is the day when Jesus Christ was born, which is December 25. I am very excited for Christmas since on Christmas people get presents from Santa Claus, just kidding Santa Claus does not exist, since Santa Claus is just a chubby made up dude! Only nine more days left until Christmas YEAH so excited. Well in my family we do not really celebrate Christmas well the only part we do celebrate is the exchanging presents but we do not decorate Christmas trees and something like that. For the holiday I do not know what to do so I am just planning on sleeping all day long. Well right now I do not know what else to type so I am just going to type stuff to make this journal entry longer to two hundred words. I hope it is two hundred words right now. Oh wait it is not two hundred words yet. I am missing twenty-nine more words, what a long way to go. I like cookies. I AM EXCITED FOR CHRISTMAS! Umm I think it is two hundred words now.

Journal Entry 38: Mars :)
Mars is a planet in space next to Earth. Mars and Earth are totally different because on Mars there is no oxygen, no gravity, and no water but on Earth there is oxygen, gravity, and water. On Mars the weather is really cold, you could turn into a snowman on Mars, while on Earth the weather is normal for us humans. Well at least Mars and Earth have one thing in common which is that both Mars and Earth are both planets. I think people would not go to Mars since Mars is an isolated planet and there is not much to do there, unless you are an astronomer or a scientist you would go to visit Mars for investigations and missions. To get to Mars from Earth it takes like a very, very, very looooong time, about millions of seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, and years, okay maybe not that long but it might take years to get to Mars. I would not like to go Mars since Mars is a very cold place, I do not think anyone can live on that planet and Mars is also a very scary place since there are some creepy aliens living on Mars.

Journal Entry 37: Setting and Plot :)
A story's setting is related to the story's plot. For example if there was a struggle about two friends that take place in 2005 on a California beach in the height of Summer and the same struggle that take place also two hundred years ago on a farm in New England in December. There would be a lot of difference. First of all the clothing would be different because in 2005 people were like casual clothes while back two hundred years ago people were fancy clothes. Another difference is that in New England, people have a very funny british accent while in California they do not have that kind of funny accent. Another difference is that in 2005 not much people work in farms like back two hundred years ago they work in farms very often. Also in the Summer it is very hot on the beach while in December it is very cold on the farm. The events of the story will be different in a different setting because the story sort of depends on the setting, for example if the story took place on a mountain maybe one of the events could be a person falling of the mountain.

Journal Entry 36: Writing is Difficult :)
I find it really awkward of the author of the story called "There Will Come Soft Rain", Ray Bradbury because he says writing is very difficult but he chose writing to be his career, one possible reason is that I think it is because he might want to share his creativity, imagination, ideas and something like that to other people by choosing to write as a career and another possible reason is that he might write for the $MONEY$ haha. If I should choose a career, I would not choose writing because I think that writing is boring since it takes a long time to plan out stories, essays, and stuff. To me I think that writing is sort of a waste of time. I do not really like writing but it is mostly because teachers tell us to do, well sometimes writing can be fun but only sometimes. Writing can be very important since writing is a way of communicating with others. In order to have like a good writing, you have to be a creative person and an imaginable person. Like the story "There Will Come Soft Rain" it is very creative story because it is a story that Ray Bradbury imagined about the future since the story takes place in August 4, 2026.

Journal Entry 35: Chronological Order :)
The story called "There Will Come Soft Rain" was about a series of events happening in August 4, 2026 where humans were dead. The story is organised by a little digital clock that indicates the hours. The story starts out with the clock ticking for someone to wake up and breakfast being automatically made with eight pieces of brown toast, eight eggs sunnyside up, sixteen slices of bacon, two coffees, and two glasses of milk. After that the robots cleaned up the dishes and the robots cleaned up the whole house as well. The house was safely protected and not even a single bird may touch the house. There was a dog who survived from the nuclear war that was whining outside of the porch and the front door recognized the dog's voice and the front door let the dog come in the house. The dog went searching for human from door to door in the house but there was only silence. The dog eventually died in the story because the dog got crazy. The wind blew a tree into the house and the house caught on fire. The house tried everything to save the house but there was a great quantity of smoke and silence remaining.

Journal Entry 34: Irony :)
I find it sort of ironic in the story called "There Will Come Soft Rain" because it is such a perfect place, where they have cool machines doing stuff for them but there are still people fighting and destroying things. Well nowadays I think that this kind of situation is not applicable but people still fight and people are still jealous of others even though their life is perfect. I don't like this kind of situation and I think this kind of situation should not exist because if life was so perfect then why should people fight others, it is very stupid to fight for something when life is perfect, since they are causing themselves trouble. I think people fight because they are jealous and want to be the best, like people fight for land because they want the best land than other country. I think that there are things that are so good that people will fight others for it, but I think it is best to talk over things instead of fighting because fighting can cause a lot of trouble. Well I think that there are not much things to fight with other people for, people can just talk things out to solve problems.

Journal Entry 33: My Invention :)
Well ALMOST EVERYONE hates homework, oh wait I mean EVERYONE hates homework. So I want to invent a robot that can do homework for everyone, so everyone will be happy. Well this robot will be super super super small and I mean like SUPER small, so it will be very easy to take around with you. This robot will look exactly like a teddy bear. The teddy bear robot is made of cotton like all teddy bears and it will be furry, soft, and cute. It works like this, you place the teddy bear robot on your homework and press this big red button on the teddy bear's hand and bipidibopidi BOO your homework is finished in one second!!! The teddy bear robot can do any type of homework such as, math homework, history homework, English homework, expository writing homework, science homework, and much more other types of homework. You don't need any battery for the teddy bear robot because somehow it is very magical and it can work without battery. Well after you use this teddy bear robot for three years it will automatically explode itself, so that you will have to buy a new one. This invention will be called "The Teddy Bear Homework Robot".

Journal Entry 32: Modern Technology :)
Nowadays we have a lot of types of technology like low technology such as, crafts, tools and much more others low technologies and high technology such as, cellphones, telephones, laptops, computers, ipods, and much more other high technologies. Technology can affect a person's life such as cellphones and telephones makes it easier for us humans to get in touch and communicate with people far away from us. Also like laptops and computers makes it easier for us humans to write our homework, so instead of writing homework in hand we can just type out our homework. I think that in the future like about one hundred years later there will be a lot of types technologies that have super cool and super awesome abilities. I am not sure like what kind of technology it will turn out as maybe like robots and something like that which will turn out super cool and super awesome but that will be bad because then people will be very lazy since it is easy to do stuff with technology. It will also be more bad to the Earth because a lot of types of technology is not that natural so it will cause global warming and harm the Earth.

Journal Entry 31: Compare and Contrast Dogs :)
I agree that most dogs are not alike in personality and appearance. Dogs such as, golden retrievers and chihuahuas have different personality and appearance. The difference in their personality is that most golden retrievers are considered more friendly, loyal, and intelligent because golden retrievers help blind or deaf people and help or rescue people while most chihuahuas are more violent and aggressive because chihuahuas like to bark at strangers and attack strangers but of course they do not bark at their owners. The different in their appearance is that golden retrievers are medium sized dogs while chihuahuas are small sized dogs. Golden retrievers have gold or cream colored fur while chihuahuas have tan, black, white and many other different colors of furs. Golden retrievers also weigh more than chihuahuas and chihuahuas also live longer than golden retrievers (chihuahua: can live about 15 years and golden retriever: can live about 11 years). But in some ways dogs can also be alike because dogs like to lick people, dogs like to sniff stuffs, dogs like to bark at strangers, dogs like to stick out their tongues, dogs like to wag their tails, and dogs like to pee on sidewalks or corners haha :D

Journal Entry 30: Thanksgiving :)
Well today is Thanksgiving (OH YEAH!), which is a holiday celebrated mostly by American people and Canadian people. I like Thanksgiving because on Thanksgiving, students do not need to go to school and people get to have a big feast with a bunch of delicious food, such as turkey and pumpkin pie. On Thanksgiving, people have to be thankful for something and I am thankful to my parents because if my parents were not here on Earth today then I would not be here on Earth either. Another reason I am thankful for them is because my parents work very hard to earn money, to send me to this school (Pacific American School), where I can study in an English environment since I am not that good at Chinese, so I probably can not go to a local school to study. I am also thankful that "someone" (I am not sure who) made the internet because then I can get in touch with my friends very easy, since using the phone and writing letters are expensive. I also would not have entertainment such as Facebook, YouTube, or Skype, if the internet did not exist. I probably would not be writing in this blog either, if there was no internet.

Journal Entry 29: Heroes Revisited :)
I searched up the word "hero" in the internet dictionary, Dictionary.com and it says that hero means "a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities". I searched in another internet dictionary, Merriam Webster it says that the word "hero" means "a mythological or legendary figure often of divine descent endowed with great strength or ability". Both dictionaries have different and same meaning for the word "hero". The difference is that in the dictionary, Dictionary.com it is talking about a hero is a man with abilities, while in the dictionary, Merriam Webster it says a hero is a mythological and legendary figure. In both of the dictionaries, it says that a hero has heroic qualities (heroes do brave deeds and heroes have great abilities). I prefer Dictionary.com's definition better because in Dictionary.com's definition, it says that heroes do brave deeds and I think that is true and in Merriam Webster's definition, it says that heroes are mythological or a legendary figure but I think that heroes can be a real person not a made up person. If I could change the definition I would say heroes can be a woman, not only a man or a made up person. In my own way, I would say that a hero can be anyone that does good things that help other people, not like borrowing people a pencil, which helped them, but like helping people get out of danger and something like that.

Journal Entry 28: Great, Old Knowledge :)
In the story "In Trouble" by Gary Paulsen, the author is trying to tell the readers in the end of the story that somewhere in the dogs, in their humor and the way they thought, dogs have great, old knowledge and we humans lost that kind of knowledge (in the story it says: ''they had great, old knowledge; they had something we had lost"). I think that the author, Gary Paulsen says that dogs are very smart deep inside of them because when he was sledding with the dogs, he lost control and went flying out into space with the sled and he got wounded in the knee. At that moment the dogs ran away, but one of the dogs, Obeah brought the whole pack of dogs back together to help him. I am not sure, but I think from that sledding accident, Gary Paulsen learned that humans lost the type of knowledge of helping others in the middle of fear because the dogs were stuck in a very cold weather but the dogs still came back from running away and helped him perhaps save him from that terrible accident. The dogs taught him that kind of knowledge that we humans had lost.

Journal Entry 27: Animal V Human :)
I think that not all animals are different from humans. Humans are considered mammals just like some of the animals. Most animals and humans are alike because they both need water, food, and shelter to live. Both human and animals have personalities and feelings. I think that humans are smarter than animals, unless that person is sort of stupid or something. One of the differences between animals and humans is that most animals have four legs while humans have two legs. Some animals are different from humans, such as fishes because fishes live in the water and fishes sleep with their eyes open, while human live on the land and humans sleep with their eyes closed. Amphibians are also a type of animal that is different from humans because they are cold-blooded and they can crawl or jump, while humans are warm-blooded and humans can walk. Animals can not talk like humans, animals just make weird noises like woof, meow, rawr, moo, quack and so on. Animals can not control their emotions and humans can control their emotions. Animals can not go shopping and humans can go shopping and animals can not wear pretty shoes and get pretty hairstyles like humans.

Journal Entry 26: Game Character :)
In my game the person who is playing the game (player) adopts a character, which is a cute, happy, furry, blue monster with soft pink cheeks and a pink little ribbon on her head. I am suppose to use my five senses to describe the monster, so I will just say that the monster smells like blueberry muffins and tastes like blueberry muffins, since the monster's fur is the color of blue. The monster really loves candies and the monster could not survive a day without a piece of candy. In the game the monster's story is that the monster was captured by these weird ninja dudes and the ninja dudes did not let the monster eat any candy. The monster starved to death and got really sad, so the monster rode her pet unicorn escaping to a nearby island called candyland, where the monster has to gather (eat) a lot and a lot of candies before the ninja dudes come and find the monster. So that is how the monster's story became a game (gathering candies). I do not really think that the monster expresses anything but you can just say that the monster is really happy to gather candies but the monster is also scared of the ninja dudes.

Journal Entry 25: EMERGENCY!!! :)
I have seen many emergency situations on the television and newspaper before where people had to deal with that emergency situation. I have been in many emergency situations myself. The most common emergency situation I have been in was natural disasters, such as earthquakes and blizzards. There was also once where I was in a car accident but I was really little about 1st grade, so I do not remember much of it. I have also accidentally fell in a very deep lake before in 5th grade because it was winter time and the lake in the park would be frozen, so there would be many kids playing on the lake but there was too many kids on the frozen lake, so the ice cracked and we all fell in the lake. Well when I was in those emergency situations I do not know what to do and I am not prepared for the situation, so the first thing I always do is scream and then I start panicking and then I forget the stuffs that happen after that. When a person prepares for a emergency situation, normally that person will still panic when the situation comes because it is really scary, so I think preparing for a situation is not a big deal.

Journal Entry 24: Setting in Art :)
There is a picture in the textbook (page 234 to 235) where I see a man dressed in blue and black clothes waving and beside the man is a brown horse (I think so) with a blue chicken picture on its body. The horse looks like it is eating trash because the horse is eating from this green bin with weird colored stuff, which is sort of messy looking. Behind the man and the horse is a woman carrying a child in her hands. The woman looks very sad and the woman looks like she lost something and the child is very freaky because it is missing an eye. The picture's background is very dark and very scary, there are faces blended into the picture's background and the houses are colored in white. The picture looks like it is from the past and it is located in a snowy village because the man is wearing long sleeve shirt and long pants and the houses are white. The mood of the picture is depressing because the people's face are not happy. When I see this picture it makes me feel uncomfortable because it looks very dark and I feel that something bad happened in the picture, which makes it scary for me.

Journal Entry 23: Game Conflict :)
In order to let a game become interesting you have to include conflicts in the game to make it hard for the character to reach the goal, or else the game will be very plain and very boring and no one will want to play your game. Conflict is a problem faced by the character, for example the conflict can be distraction or a struggle with another character. There are two types of conflicts, internal conflict (a conflict between yourself) and external conflict (a conflict with another person or a conflict with a natural disaster) but in games I think that there are mostly external conflicts. I want my game to be interesting so I need to include conflicts in my game. In my game the goal is to get as many candies as possible within a certain amount of time. The conflict for my game will be when the character gets near a piece of candy some screaming ninjas and screaming monkeys will come out to block and distract the character from getting the candies, so that it will be hard for the character to get near the candies. The character has to gather weapons along the way so when the character meets the screaming ninjas and screaming monkeys, the character will use the weapon to destroy it.

Journal Entry 22: Game Setting :)
If I am going to make a game in the computer, my game is going to be about this monster trying to find as many candies as possible in this place called candyland. Sometimes if you(monster) see a piece of candy and you(monster) want to go near it to get it, there will be a bunch of screaming ninjas and screaming monkeys coming out to attack you(monster), by throwing chocolate bars at your head which I find that really cool. In candyland it is really cold. There is also no gravity, so everything will probably be flying around in the air. In candyland almost everything is made out of candy, such as the floor is made of cotton candy, the trees are made of chocolate, the flowers are made of lollipops, the clouds are made of jelly, the sun is made of cake.

Journal Entry 21: Describe a Place You Know :)
Well if I should really describe a place with my five senses, I would describe my house because I am more familiar with my house than other places. My house is located in Taiwan. The first thing you see when you get to my house is this black and golden gate. After walking past the gate you will see this weird security guard then the lobby which is an outside one, a bunch of elevators and stairs, and also some weird decorations and stuff.

Journal Entry 20: The Influence of Setting :)
Setting is a time, place, or location in a story. Settings can influence the events of a story because basically events depend on the settings and it can cause complications, such as you can say for example, that the main character was in Antarctica and she or he froze to death. Well my own setting is in a country called Taiwan in Asia. My setting affects my events because I have to learn mandarin because in Taiwan people speak mandarin, so I have to learn it too in order to communicate with others.

Journal Entry 19: Do the Right Thing :)
Barbara Frietchie would be considered a hero because she was really loyal to her country for picking up the Union flag that the men hauled down and she place it on her window, even though she might have been shot by Stonewall Jackson for doing such a thing. Stonewall Jackson eventually felt ashamed of himself when he saw an old lady willing to risk her life for an Union flag, while he was going to destroy it. Harriet Tubman is also considered a hero too because she was really brave for leading the slaves to freedom, even though she would be a traitor to the slaves' owner. She is also brave because she is willing to risk her life for the slaves just to let them know what freedom feels like, although the slaves that were running away had to try hard to gain freedom and sometimes they wanted to give up, but Harriet Tubman would just tell them successful stories about other slaves running away, so that they would continue their escape and not give up.
Journal Entry 18: Setting :)
Settings is a location, time and everything which a story takes place in. Settings have a strong effect on me. Once when I went to Finland I was freezing to death because I thought it was going to be hot there at spring but it turned out being pretty cold. Well I am not really sure what place is a happy and safe place for me, but if I really had to choose one I would consider my home a happy and safe place. I am suppose to use my 5 senses to describe my happy and safe place but I am not sure how to explain it so I will just describe it in a totally simple way. My home looks good, smells good, sounds good, taste good, and feels good. It looks good because it is somehow awesome. It smells and taste good because my home is made out of cookies and candies. Okay...I was joking that my home was made out of cookies and candies but still my home is a awesome place for sure, which I do not know how to describe it out because it is way too awesome to describe out.

Journal Entry 17: My Hero :)
I am not really sure who is my hero and I do not really think I have one but if I really had to choose a hero of mines, I would choose Michelle Kwan. Michelle Kwan was born in July 7, 1980 and she is a chinese american figure skater. She got the world champion award thingy five times, olympic award thingy two times, and nine times U.S. olympic award thingy. I admire her because she made me interested in ice skating when I was about to give up ice skating. I do not know her personally. I just saw her on the television.

Journal Entry 16: What is a Hero? :)
A hero is this brave person that does good deeds and help others, even if it was a crazy person on the street. I think that Harriet Tubman is a hero to slaves because she was willing to risk her life to lead the slaves to freedom just to let them know what freedom feels like, which is like helping the slaves a lot. Barbara Frietchie is also a hero because Barbra Frietchie was brave enough to stand up to Stonewall Jackson and put the union flag up on her window even though she was not suppose to do that because Stonewall Jackson might kill her (by that I mean shoot her) but it turns out that Stonewall Jackson respected her to do such a thing. Heros have a lot of stuff in common because heros mostly do stuff that are not suppose to be done but it turns out to be that what they are doing is very brave. For example, Harriet Tubman helped the slaves escaped but she is a traitor to the slaves owner.

Journal Entry 15: Leaving Everything Behind :)
In the past there were people that had to leave everything precious to them behind, which were the stuff that meant a lot to them and they loved it a lot, just like the slaves that Harriet Tubman lead to freedom, they also left things behind that were precious to them such as their daily amount of food, shelter and maybe even some people that meant a lot to them (maybe they met them at the slavery thingy). There was once where I had to move to a new place and I had to leave far far away my friends which felt sort of sad because we known each other for a long time like about seven years. I also had to get use to the new things at the new place which could not compare to my old things and I missed my old things a lot.

Journal Entry 14: Why Risk Your Life? :)
Harriet Tubman is a free woman but she would risk her life to lead other people to freedom because Tubman wants the fugitives to know how freedom feels like. Tubman will gain fame because she helps the slaves escape, like right now Harriet Tubman is famous because we know about her but the bad thing is that she will be a traitor for the slave owners. Well if someone really needed my help, I would be willing to help that person but only if the thing I should help is possible to do, not like someone says "Hey Ting, help me kill a person" then I will definitely not help that person because that is impossible to do. If that person is someone I hate then I would not help that person. If I help someone I think maybe karma will happen (helping someone and someone help you back).

Journal Entry 13: Freedom Fighter :)
Everything was going well in my life but the problem is that slavery is widely practiced in my country, I am a freedom lover and I wanted to help the slaves escape from slavery. I think that slavery is not fair. It is not fair because the slaves' owner are just to lazy to do stuff(housework or something like that, maybe even homework)themselves, so they just kidnap people and tell them to do stuff for them or else they get beaten up or killed. Helping slaves escape is illegal and if you help slaves escape you might be killed. One day there was a group of people that asked me if I want to help slaves escape.I knew that it was dangerous to help slaves but since I am a freedom lover I agreed to join. We helped alot of slaves escape but some of the people in the group got caught and were killed. Now there were only two people left in the group, me and the other person. Later on we both got caught and were killed.

Journal Entry 12: To Be a Slave :)
I woke up one day and found out that my family and I were sold into slavery. My family and I were sold to different slavery, we were seperated. There were a lot of slaves that were asians, just like me. All the slaves had to carry a bunch heavy rocks everyday and we got only a teeny weeny piece of bread and a drop of water for every meal. I got hungry very often and I did not have energy to work. After weeks of being a slave I have decided to escape from that freaky place. The good things about escaping is that if I do not get caught I will have a good life (atleast a life that is better than having a slave life) and I get to be free from slavery but the bad things are that if I get caught I might be sent back and have to continue being a slave or maybe even worser, I get killed. I was planning to escape the next day and go with another person that could guide me. I found a person that knew the way out of this slavery and we escaped together. The escape was successful and I had a happy life.

Journal Entry 11: More Freedom :)
In this society I think that I can do stuff such as watching television, playing computer, going to places I want, such as shopping malls, theaters or concerts, I can eat junk food when I want to and I can sleep at anytime I want without anyone caring. The things I can not do in this society until I am at a certain age is that I can not vote, I can not drive, I can not drink alcohol, and I can not smoke. In this society we also can not kill people if we feel like it and we can not steal stuffs from stores either. For me I think that this is a pretty free society because mostly there are not stuff I want to do, but I can not do. And mostly everything I want to do, I can do it.

Journal Entry 10: For the Sake of Freedom :)
In my way of saying freedom is that freedom is like having the rights to do stuff without people caring but at least it has to be appropriate, not like you have the rights to kill people or something like that. It also means to me of having your own decision of doing stuffs which I think is pretty important. For me I think that my freedom is normal. My parents do let me have a chance of deciding my own stuff but sometimes they do have to decide what is right and best for me. I never really had my things taken away from my parents before or been ''time-outed'' or something like that. Anyways I think that freedom is pretty important to many people, mostly kids because a lot of kids have their freedom taken away by their parents. If people had their freedom taken away they might fight for their freedom to get it back. I am not really sure what I would be willing to do to protect my freedom, since I did not really experience having my freedom taken away before.
Journal Entry 9: If You Were Billy :)
I just arrived in Bath for a business trip. My boss, Mr. Greenslade said that I should find my own lodging to stay in. I wasn't sure if I should stay in the pub or the boardinghouse, so I asked people for advice. A lot of people said that the pub had more people than the boardinghouse so I decided to stay in a pub since I went to pubs more often than boardinghouses. Although the pub price was more expensive than the boardinghouse price. Some people mentioned that in the boardinghouse there is this freaky landlady that begs people to drink tea with her so I think it is better to stay in the pub where it sounds less freaky. There were a lot of people in the pub. I made a lot of new friends in the pub that night. My new friends and me party all night long and drank a lot of beer. We had a lot of fun and I enjoyed the stay at the pub.

Journal Entry 8: The End? :)
Suddenly some ninjas came jumping and screaming in the boardinghouse trying to save Billy from the landlady. Billy was really confused, he did not know what was happening. The ninjas told Billy that the landlady is an evil witch that wanted to kill Billy and preserve him just like her pets. The landlady took out her magicwand and said "Bipidibopidi BOO" and the ninjas turned into tiny little ants. So eventually Billy could not escape from the landlady since the ninjas turned into tiny little ants and they could not help Billy anymore. Billy was was going crazy, he was running around in circles screaming for help. He was really scared of the landlady because the landlady kept walking closer and closer to Billy. Billy was still running around in cirlces screaming for help. The landlady took out her magicwand and said "Bipidibopidi BOO" Billy started too feel weird, Billy fell to the ground and he was dead. So it turns out that Billy got preserved like her pets and he was place right next to Mr. Temple and Mr. Mulholland, to let other customers see that its a welcoming place with lots of people.

Journal Entry 7: Three Little Piggies :)
This is a retold story of "The Three Little Pigs" by an unknown author. Once upon a time there were three little piggies that live on the street together. One day the oldest piggy said to the other piggies "lets build our own house before winter comes" or they will be freezing outside the street. So the first little piggy built her house with grass because she did not want to waste a lot of time on building her house. The second little piggy built her house with cardboard because she was also lazy like the first piggy. The last little piggy built her house with metal because she thinks that metal can last forever. One day a big, hungry wolf came to the first little piggy's house and said "I am a ninja and I will kick your house, HEEY YA!" The first piggy's house got destroyed so the first piggy ran to the second piggy's house. The big, hungry wolf came to the second piggy's house and said "I am a ninja and I will kick your house, HEEY YA!" Then the house got destroyed so both piggies ran to the last piggy's house. The big, hungry wolf came to the last piggy's house and said "I am a ninja and I will kick you house, HEEY YA!" The last piggy's house wasn't destroyed so the wolf try again and again but the house never got ruin so the wolf finally gave up. So all three piggies lived happily ever after like all fairytales.

Jounal Entry 6: Imagine a Place :)
It was an cold freezing night when I was about to go home but I accidentally went on the wrong bus and it led me to a desolated town that I was not familiar with. When I came off of the bus I had to find a place to stay immediately since I was freezing in the cold weather. I saw a fancy sign a few blocks away from me, it says "Bed and Breakfast." I went to look through the window, it looked like a nice and peaceful place to stay. I saw alot of people in the lobby, not like the street outside since it was empty. I could hear people laughing joyfully and talking in the lobby. I could also see that pets were welcomed in the place because there were dogs and cats playing together happily. On top of the counter there were yellow flowers in a white shiny vase and also a bowl of peppermint flavored candies to take. Next to the counter were three golden colored elevators. I also saw a white comfy sofa where there were people sitting on while watching the television. The wall and floor looked really fancy because the wall had an attractive pattern and the floor seemed smooth to walk on. That place seemed welcoming so I stayed at "Bed and Breakfast" that night.

Journal Entry 5: Advice :)
Dear Stephanie Chen,
I am Alfonso (a boy for sure) from the book, Elements of Literature. I like this girl at my school called Sandra but I am not sure what to do to make her like me. I hope that you can give me some advices or you can help me choose some of my ideas I thought of. Here are some of my ideas I would like to share with you. My first idea is that I might try to fix up my crooked teeth and color my hair to look better. My second idea is that I might help her out more so she will think I am a very generous and kind person. My third idea is to take her out on a bike ride but I might have some problem with that because my bike has a broken chain and my brother, Ernie doesn't really want to lend me his bike. So which idea do you suggest the best or do you want to give me your own advice? PLEASE HELP ME AS SOON AS YOU SEE THIS.

Journal Entry 4: Girls V Boys :)
I think that girls and boys are fundamentally different. The difference between girls and boys is that girls act more mature than boys, more quiet, not violent and girls don't blurt out things without thinking about it. Boys are more childish, more noisy, like to humiliate themselves, act more violent than girls, and boys blurt out things without thinking about it. The reason that I think girls and boys act differently is because girls and boys have different horomones, so it affects their thoughts and actions. I think that the differences between girls and boys will change over time because in the past when girls and boys were little kids, there weren't much differences because boys and girls mostly act the same and think the same, but when boys and girls are teens their thoughts change and they act differently, so when girls and boys become old people (grandma and grandpa) their thoughts will be the same again just like when they were little kids.

Journal Entry 3: Popular or Intelligent?? :)
Being popular is good and bad in many ways. The good thing of being popular is that you are famous, attractive, and have alot of friends but sometimes when you are popular it is also bad because you can't have your own private time (people will bug you), people will also talk behind your back, and sometimes people might use you just to get popular. Intelligent, basically when you are intelligent there are alot of advantages and disvantages, when it comes to advantages people think you are smart and you are really successful in school subjects. The disvantages of being intelligent is that dumb people will get jealous and sometimes people will think you are nerdy or wimpy. When you are unusual at school, people will think you are a freak, weirdo, outsider, or a monster but it is also good because some people will think you are unique, special, or extordinary. When people want to fit in, the sacrifices they make are betraying their real friends and go hang out with some cool people which are not their real friends. They will also try to dress differently (pretty) then they use to or they try to act more cool to fit in more. Well I think that I fit in and I would like to be the smartest kid because when your smart you can figure out a way to be popular and being smart is useful for me to get a job in the future.

Journal Entry 2: Teen Feelings :)
After reading the story "Broken Chain", I think that most thirteen and fourteen year olds care alot about what others think of them and how they look. Most teens have zits/pimples and they care alot about it because they think that their classmates might laugh at them or it might be embarrassing for them to go to school with a zit/pimple. Like most thirteen and fourteen year old girls care about their clothes and hair because they maybe want to fit in with the other girls or they don't want people thinking they are wearing ugly clothes or having a weird hairstyle. When teens care about their appearance they sometimes can't focus in school. For example if they get bored in class they might start thinking about their appearance and loose focus on that subject. I think that appearance is not a big deal because even though if you are really ugly it is not like a person will come up to you and shout in your face "YOU ARE WAY TOO HIDEOUS TO LOOK AT!". I think that thirteen and fourteen year olds should focus more on education rather than their appearance because it is sort of a waste of time.

Journal Entry 1: Introducing to me :)
Hey everyone, my name is Ting! I'm writing in this blog because I want to introduce myself and it's also because it's my english class assignment. Well, I'm an asian girl with straight black hair, small eyes-like all asians haha-, and yellow colored skin. I'm pretty shy when I don't know a person very well, but after I know that person I'm open-minded. I'm the only child in my family and when I was little my family and me traveled to the States, then we went to Europe. I can speak english, chinese, taiwanese, and danish. I like to go shopping, doodling, playing the violin, and playing the piano. I hate all insects and bugs because they're distgusting, evil and they also have super powers, such as mosquitos have the ability to suck human blood. I also hate punctuating because somehow it doesn't make sense to me. When I grow up I want to go to Europe and be a fashion designer or artist. I think that writing in this blog is fun because I get to let the whole world see it which I think is really cool.
