Journal Entry 43: Elements of Poetry :)

Well this is the third journal entry about poetry and that really really sucks. I hate really poetry a lot and I mean like I HATE IT VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY MUCH!!!! I "think" for poetry there are elements of poetry that are similar to elements of literature such as the plot, the setting, the character, the conflict, and the resolution. Plot is like the chain of related events in the . Setting is like the time or location of the poem. Character is like a person in the poem. Conflict is like the problem of the poem. There are two types of conflicts, one of them is internal conflict and the other one is external conflict. Internal conflict means that the character is having a problem with themselves or with natural disaster and external conflicts means that the character is having a conflict with another character. Today in English class we learned the elements of poetry and I only remember there are stuffs like rhyme, alliteration, assonance, figurative language, meter, and there is more but I forgot. Rhyme for example is like cat, fat, hat, mat, sat, and rat.  Alliteration is repetition of initial constant sounds in two or more words or syllables. Figurative language is like hyperbole, metaphor, personification, and simile. Meter is like stressed syllables and unstressed syllables.
